    About KUNST-STOFF arts

KUNST-STOFF arts, the home of Yannis Adoniou's KUNST-STOFF dance company, is a 2500 sq feet dance studio/art space designed to host performing and visual artists. It is centrally located on One Grove Street in down town San Francisco California U.S.A.

Here, the Artist is the art.

Our mission is to empower today's professional dancer by providing the necessary tools for a versatile, authentic and creative artist, fully skilled in well-established movement techniques and ready to serve the ongoing demands of our dynamic art form and field. We offer an intimate training environment in which dedicated master teachers invite each participant to commit to a deep level of practice, unearthing and strengthening his or her distinct voice in support of an expansive artistic career.

    The programming:

Programming is directed by Yannis Adoniou and Kathleen Hermesdorf, incorporating a fusion of ideas and ideals found in KUNST-STOFF's educational offerings and La ALTERNATIVA's Alternative Conservatory. Our faculty represents the best of San Francisco and the national and international scenes. With dedication to focus and quality, the program reaches out to a broad spectrum of interests, experiences and abilities.

    Our offerings:

Monday-Saturday training for professional dancers and devoted practitioners with dedicated master teachers, as well as evening and weekend workshops, KUNST-STOFF's Summer Choreography Intensive, and the Alternative Conservatory New Years & Spring Intensives and Spring & Fall 3-month Sessions.
