"Because" cannot exist by itself, because it is a result of a catalyst and part of a reason why. This group improvisation piece for five dance soloists is based on the principle of chain reactions and the philosophical doctrine of repetition and difference: the improvised movement material is in a constant process of development through copying, looping, interpreting and distorting, the state of a moment being a result of the previous. The five dancers manifest a neurological network, where the individual is receiver, transformer and amplifier of information. "Because" is a game of individuality within the collective and its rules are founded on studies of sociology, mass-movements, swarm behavior and developmental theories.
